ProntoSIL C30 is a stationary phase with an extremely high carbon load. The high carbon chain coverage provides dense bonding and excellent shape selectivity, maintaining superior stability even in environments with pH levels as low as 1. It is primarily used for the separation of carotenoid isomers and other substances with long hydrocarbon chains that cannot be resolved by traditional C18 columns. ProntoSIL C30 packing materials are available in particle sizes of 3, 5, and 10 μm, and pore sizes of 120, 200, and 300 Å, with the large-pore materials offering even better shape selectivity.
